This is a meal that tastes fancy but really needs no effort. It’s a super quick salmon and shrimp pasta tossed in the creamiest sauce . It is the perfect recipe for all you busy bees looking for something interesting to toss into your meal plan and if you are a SEA FOOD LOVER this is about to be your FAVOURITE THING!
I can’t believe I disappeared for 4 months!! Allow me explain myself… I started working a 9-5(I know I know) as part of university program. it was my first co-op and didn’t know what to expect so I went in with no plan what so ever and my stomach paid the price.
All I needed were fast recipes, I didn’t have too much time on my hands for my homeland delicacies. Student life and Worker life are two different lives and they both have their struggles but a similar struggle is TIME. That’s why I am going to be posting simple recipes that got me through those months.
Creamy Salmon and Shrimp Pasta recipe
This creamy salmon and shrimp pasta only takes 30 minutes and I was inspired by a comment I saw on instagram “Nigerians don’t use cream” it said. It’s not false but it’s not completely true either. “Traditional Nigerian foods” don’t… but Nigerian food is broad and certain adaptations of our own recipes incorporate cream and cheese.
Open your mind (and stomachs) to new things!!
Creamy pasta is not the typical Nigerian pasta but I know it is something the average Nigerian will enjoy. Salmon is not really a popular fish back home but those of us in the diaspora find salmon accessible and inexpensive. Wherever you are I NEED YOU TO TRY THIS RECIPE OUT YOURSELF and see what I mean.
“Did I mention that this is one of those pretend fancy meals. Serve this cheap meal and watch them hand you their birthright ”

How to preserve your pasta
You can preserve your pasta by storing it in an airtight container in your fridge for 3 to 4 days. Since it is seafood I will STRONGLY advice finishing it the day off or within the first 3 days of cooking it.

What made you start cooking?
nigerianfoodiehub says
That’s a great question! I started cooking because when I moved to college I was 17 and alone. I knew for sure I had to eat so I started cooking out of necessity and eventually of of passion!
